Firstly, response to the Petition has been amazing with over 645 people signing to date. Of course the more the better so if you know anyone who would be interested in helping to get our message heard, please, let them know.
What has been interesting is the fact that many of the signers have come from Highlands Ranch. Not sure they think too much of their elected HRCA officials. We have also had people coming from Littleton, Sedalia, Englewood, Beverly Hills (CO!), Lone Tree, Aurora, Broomfield, Centennial and Denver. I am pleased that people all over the Front Range can see that this issue effects everyone in Colorado.
I did just receive an email from Douglas County. It says
"Thank you for your comments regarding the Wildcat Mountain Trail issue.
The Douglas County Legal Department is working closely with Community
Development/Planning to thoroughly research this issue. The report for the Board of
County Commissioners - summarizing the various dimensions of this issue - is not
expected to be complete until the end of the month.
The Douglas County Commissioners are aware of the growing number of petition
signatures and ExpressConnect submittals.
Thank you for contacting Douglas County.
Douglas County Administration"
I would ask people to also send their thoughts to Douglas County via their Express Connect website.
